Before Crown, what did you do? Church Planter, Pastor with the C&MA (ordained)

Your Testimony? Growing up in the church and professing Christ early in my life, I became involved in our church ministries in my teen years. While working at church camp, my youth pastor recognized my gifts for ministry and love for people and identified my call to ministry. After seminary, I planted a church with the C&MA in the Denver area before returning to Minnesota to pastor a redevelopment church. My heart's desire in ministry centered on teaching, and God opened the door to come to Crown College. I am blessed to come to work each day and open the Word with students.

Favorite Bible verse and why?

Galatians 2:20. Summarizes the motivation and power for my Christian Life.

What differentiates your program from similar offerings at other colleges? Personal interaction with students to advance their academic and personal, spiritual growth.

How do you define "Academic Excellence?" Moving from simplistic to sophisticated understanding of Scripture and theological concepts; understanding those who disagree and learning from their positions.

What would your students say about taking your classes? Challenging and stimulating; gaining a thorough knowledge, fascination and passion for God’s Word.

From a career standpoint, what will students be prepared to do with a degree from your program? Better prepared for all aspects of Christian Ministry; specifically prepared for graduate degrees in Bible and Theology.

What would you say to parents of prospective students about having their son/daughter at Crown? Crown provides an environment for students to mature in their knowledge and experience with God. We take a personal interest in each student and gear the educational experience to their needs. The dorms, chapel, classroom, and all aspects of Crown life work together to develop each student into a Christian Leader.
