Our teacher candidates infiltrate public and private schools with the knowledge, skills and disposition necessary to effectively lead their classrooms in the transformative endeavor of teaching and learning.

I grew up with an incredibly loving Christian family and accepted the Lord as a child. Christ’s grace, mercy and sovereignty became profoundly new to me while at Wheaton College under the leadership of godly men and women — mentors, professors and pastors. As a result, my passion for local ministry and Christ-centeredness in my life became more impactful.  I pray that my life reflects God’s glory and love to those around me.

Favorite Bible Verse and Why:
Ephesians 3:16-19. 1I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

These verses provide encouragement, yet also remind me of how incomprehensible the love of Christ is for a fallen world.

Before Crown:
Prior to coming to Crown, I taught middle school science and physical education, worked as the assistant to the head of school and as the athletic director at a local private Christian school. Coached varsity lacrosse at Eden Prairie High School for five years and coached lacrosse at Wheaton College for two years.
