How Your Program Is Unique Here:
We allow the students to tailor their specific projects and presentation to their specific area of sport management. We also have an internship which allows them to get hands-on experience and references.
From A Career Standpoint, What Students Will Be Prepared To Do With A Degree From Your Program:
With sport management being part sports and part business, students will be able to start off in either field and work their way towards a specific area. They will have plenty of opportunities for internships, which lead to good jobs. While the field is competitive it comes from the fact that people enjoy the jobs associated with sport management.
I grew up in a Christian home and accepted the Lord at Covenant Pines Bible Camp in the fourth grade. During my high school and college years I went to church, learned and listened, but didn’t live my life for God. It wasn’t until about 15 years ago that I truly made an effort to live my life for God and make a difference for Him.
Favorite Bible Verse and Why:
“Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” – Proverbs 27:17
Essentially this is the foundation for us becoming better men, as well as helping others by doing the same.
I was an assistant football coach (SCSU) and physical education instructor.
What You Enjoy Most About Teaching at Crown:

How You Define “Academic Excellence”:
Academic excellence involves gaining knowledge in your field so that when you go on an interview or start a job, others get the “wow factor” from what you bring to the organization.
What Students Say About Your Classes:
That it is highly interactive and hands-on in the learning process.
What You Would Say to Parents of Prospective Students About Having Their Son/Daughter at Crown:
Your son or daughter will be cared for holistically throughout their four years and you will see a progression throughout their time.
