Worldview Academy Camp - US Locations

Posted 1-30-12

  • QUALIFICATIONS: Although there are no specific qualifications other than having a growing relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there are characteristics that we look for in our college staff team. First and foremost is a desire to serve and love on students. Our staff is typically the first ones up in the morning and the last ones to go to bed, so our staff needs to be servant-hearted and love working with students. Also, our staff needs to be passionate about the truth from a Biblical worldview. This does not mean that they know all the answers but rather possess a passion for learning and living consistently within a Biblical worldview. Thirdly, our staff needs to be hard workers. Camp is not an easy environment, so we hire individuals who are willing to work hard to meet the needs of camp as a whole.
  • DUTIES: There are three positions we are currently seeking. The first and foremost is our small group leader position. As a small group leader, each week you will have a small group of 6-12 students of the same age and gender who you will get to know and spend intentional time with. There are several small group times during the week where you will facilitate a discussion about the topics from the day’s lectures. You will also spend unintentional time getting to know your students and making this the best week of their life. In addition to your responsibilities as a small group leader you will assist in the general running of camp. This will range from announcing free time options, setting up registration, tearing down camp at the end of the week, or other various tasks that will benefit camp as a whole. A second position we are currently seeking is a worship leader. We will be hiring three worship leaders who will also serve as a small group leader throughout the summer. As a worship leader you will facilitate and direct the leading of worship each evening at camp. A third position we are currently seeking is a videographer position. We will be hiring three videographers who will serve the entire seven week summer with us. The videographer position is responsible for shooting, editing, and finalizing a highlight video from the week at camp. This is expected to be completed in time to be shown at the end of the week to the students and their parents. The videographer will not lead a small group but instead will focus on the various shots needed for the video. The videographer will also help with various tasks around camp that benefit camp, but his or her primary responsibility will be the camp video.
