    The more competitive the internship is, the earlier you look. Start at least 6 months before you actually need to do your internship. Keep looking because they are posted continually.

DESCRIPTION: U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar is still seeking interns for the fall semester (Sept-Dec) to assist office staff with casework, outreach and administrative duties at the Twin Cities office.  There are several positions still available.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting casework and outreach staff, researching grant opportunities, assisting the State Scheduler with scheduling duties, planning service projects and meeting constituents.  In the Minneapolis office you will work directly with congressional aides on issues involving constituent concerns and requests. You will also assist the staff in working with city and town officials and non-profit organizations applying for federal grants, among other responsibilities. Every effort is made to pair interns with Outreach and Advocacy staff based upon their interests and experience.  Full and part-time unpaid internships are available with both the Outreach and Advocacy teams with fall semester course schedules taken into account. We are looking for energetic and dependable students to help us win this campaign and bring common sense solutions and responsible representation to Washington D.C. We have intern opportunities in a variety of campaign areas.     We offer internships and apprenticeships at our main office in Atlanta, Georgia. They are both ideal for college students, or recent college graduates, who want to gain a rich experience working at a leadership development organization. Within this role, you'll be helping students realize their full leadership potential all around the world. As well, you will have the opportunity to help develop resources, interact with college staff, plan events, and administer partnerships with schools, churches and organizations.     Summer/Semester Internships
    Our standard intern positions are during the summer or semester. In the past, interns have come from all over the world and stay with one of our host families during their time as an intern. This is a full-time position in our Atlanta office.  There are also opportunities for part-time internships for students living in the Metro Atlanta area who are also working in another position.  We require that all interns have their own transportation.

    WHO: College students or young adults in their twenties
    WHERE: Growing Leaders office in the metro Atlanta area
    WHEN:  Late May to Mid-August (Summer Term) - Mid-August to Mid-December (Fall Term) - Early January to Mid-May (Spring Term)
