Youth Pastor C&MA, Shell Lake, WI

    Posted 12-07-09

    • DESCRIPTION: Minister of the Gospel - especially to young people of rural Wisconsin. Lake Park Alliance Church of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, is looking for a youth pastor, married or single, to serve either full or part-time beginning August 1st, 2009, if at all possible.
    • Primary responsibility would be loving Jesus Christ, the youth group and their families. Having said this, the youth group consists of 20-30 teens on a weekly basis, while the congregation is between 80-90 people on various Sundays. We are very rural to the point of boardering on "hick". We provide two, 4-day camps in the summer and many times choose a mission's trip. Traditionally the youth have done a youth led worship service the last Sunday of each month, giving them leadership opportunities to preach, sing, pray, read Scripture and any other of their gifts. The youth pastor coaches the youth who is preaching and sometimes gives a mini-sermon following him/her also on these Sundays. These services are open to new input depending on the unique gifts which new staff bring to our body.
    • As youth pastor with us you would be presented opportunities much like that of an associate pastor alongside of the senior pastor, (who will meet with you for weekly mentoring and prayer). You will also meet with the governing board monthly to provide a youth report. Priority is given for intentional Sabbaths each week for all of the staff here at LPAC.
    • LOCATION: Lake Park Alliance Church of Shell Lake, Wisconsin
    • WAGE: Salary is currently $200 weekly along with a ministry gas card and occasional love offering. You are given the small parsonage with all utilities paid, located on the same block as the church building (heat, electricity, basic phone, garbage pick-up, water all paid for). You may wish to work in the community in a part-time way. Our previous youth pastor coached basketball for the high school here, and the kids loved it, and so did Jeremiah!
    • Our current youth pastor is excellent in music and has had an huge impact for our congregation including the youth for worship here! In this way, we would desire one who is musical with voice and/or plays any instrument, but this does not need to be either. This is why we would consider hiring a full-time youth/worship pastor though if he had both these qualifications. The YOUTH GROUP is the first priority. The kids are special and we need to keep on providing quality men/women to be there for them, modeling what Christianity is all about.
    • Our prayers are for God's person/s to hear from God and to be sent to this unique and picturesque part of the vineyard to win, train, equip and send more on fire sons and daughters, in love with Abba, and share in the building of His eternal kingdom.
