Peoplesoft Technical Director- Minneapolis

  • QUALIFICATIONS: APEX is a county-wide business process improvement and technology project. This project includes the replacement of the Payroll/Personnel System and the Financial Accounting and Reporting System (FARS) with the PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This system will support human resources, payroll, finance and procurement functions. The PeopleSoft Technical Developer is a key member of the Hennepin County APEX project technology team implementing the PeopleSoft ERP application system. Working closely with County project staff and our implementation partner, this individual will perform assigned data conversion, interface, customization, workflow and report development and perform problem analysis using PeopleTools including Application Engine, Component Interface, Application Messaging, SQR, Crystal Reports, XML Publisher, and other delivered programming tools.This is a non-permanent, limited-duration position lasting up to two years.  
  • DUTIES: Provide technical assistance to business process fit-gap sessions, providing necessary PeopleSoft technical knowledge as needed to determine standard/best practices and technical feasibility. Translate functional specifications into a technical design. Develop, test and document PeopleSoft applications based on technical specifications. You will serve as a technical developer and participate in the following activities as part of a new PeopleSoft ERP implementation: Develop applications to extract and convert legacy data using Component Interfaces, Application Engine, Database Utilities, and SQR. Develop system interfaces using PeopleSoft integration broker. You will be required to create new definitions to interface between legacy/external systems and PeopleSoft. Develop custom processes or modifications to meet functional requirements.     Develop custom reports using XML Publisher, Vision and SQR.

  • POSITIONS:  Hennepin County is implementing the APEX Project, a comprehensive, fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System that will replace the legacy County-wide systems for Financial and HR/Payroll operations.  Hennepin County seeks three Functional Leads who will be involved in the day-to-day development, implementation, and operation of this system.  The Functional Leads will provide assistance in the design and configuration of the system and the integration and user acceptance testing process.  They will assist in production of the user training materials and may assist in training delivery.  They will become resident experts and may support the production environment for their area of expertise after the migration to production.  Each Functional Lead will be assigned to one of three specialized areas:The General Ledger Functional Lead will be involved in finalizing the accounting structure (chartfields) for the system and crosswalks from the legacy system, setting up commitment control, setting up options for processing accounting entries from other PeopleSoft modules, and setting up coding validation structures. The Educational Service Center is an organization that works to find qualified teachers who want to teach in South Korea for KoreaPolySchool.  We only hire teachers for KoreaPolySchool and not for any other organization or institute. KoreaPolySchool is a private institute that caters its education to students ages 5-15.  It has a curriculum that is North American based.  Most of the textbooks used in the curriculum are common textbook names to educators in North America such as Houghton-Mifflin and Harcourt. We hire year-round for teachers to fill our positions.

CIEE Teach Abroad - Various Countries

Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) offers Teach Abroad enables students to live and work overseas while learning first-hand about the local people, culture, and language and discovering more about themselves. All CIEE Teach Abroad programs offer academic-year teaching assignments, with Asia programs also offering a single semester option. CIEE staff negotiate a placement teaching English, a local stipend, and temporary housing. We provide pre-departure advising, visa advice, medical insurance, a comprehensive in-country orientation, and 24-hour support services. For more than 60 years, CIEE has pursued its mission, "to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world." CIEE Teach Abroad programs are a smart choice for graduates interested in living this experience. CIEE offers programs in the following locations:

  • Teach in Chile, beginning in late February, apply by September 1

Teacher (ALT) - Japan

Are you a flexible, trustworthy individual with a university degree (or about to get one)?  If the answer to all these questions is YES then teaching in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) within the public school system for six months or a full year would be the experience of a lifetime for you!! Heart English Schools are based in the city of Mito in the prefecture of Ibaraki. Its capital and largest city is Mito, with a population of around 250,000 people. Mito is 100 km north of Tokyo.  Heart English School’s hires Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) for both public and private schools. The bulk of our positions begin in September and March where you can work one, six month contract and then begin another or take a new job.  Additionally, we also have positions beginning each month!

  • Pay/Benefits: 334.00 Yen (1427.00 CDN/ 1216.00 US) per month (with a paid apartment and AFTER taxes of 8000.00 Yen) for teaching Monday to Friday on a regular school schedule.  If you do not want company housing, your salary would be 204,334.00 Yen (2020.00 CDN/1722.00 US) per month.  End of contract bonus of 5,000 yen for each month with a perfect attendance record. Proper Visa sponsorship from within Japan and abroad. Permission to find additional work, within the specifications of your Visa. Comprehensive training. Have you ever considered the possibility of teaching on the mission field and being a vital part of the lives of missionary children?  Our school is Fetzer Memorial Christian Academy (A ministry of Baptist Mid-Missions) located on the outskirts of Lima, Peru.  We are a school for missionary children, and are looking for qualified teachers who may be interested in teaching on the mission field for a year or two, or as a car
