As Executive Vice President and Vice President of Operations, Mike works closely with the president, the senior administrative team, and the directors in Operations. He enjoys the cross-divisional nature of his role, allowing him to connect with faculty, staff, and students. Mike’s position involves strategic planning, supervision, analyzing programs and processes. In operations, he provides leadership for Facility Services, Technology Services, the Bookstore, Campus Events, and Dining Services.
Prior coming to Crown, Mike served as Assistant Vice President of International Ministries for The Christian Missionary and Alliance in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Before that role, he served as Regional Director for the Asia/Pacific Region.
Mike received a B.S. in Education from Minnesota State University Mankato. He earned his Master of Divinity from Canadian Theological Seminary. He also completed Arrow Leadership Program now headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Prior to his overseas service in Thailand, Mike served as an associate pastor in Burnaby, British Columbia. Mike and Nancy were missionaries in Thailand for seven years before going to the National Office of the C&MA in 1991

The Vice President of Student Development oversees the various departments and programs dealing with students outside the classroom. The residence life program, chapel program, spiritual development, leadership development opportunities, international service learning, inter-cultural experiences, health care, and counseling services all fall under the Student Development umbrella.
My wife, Lori, and I served as teachers and administrators during our 22 years at Dalat International School in Malaysia, and then spent two more years at Taejon Christian International School in South Korea before returning to the United States in 2005. I taught in the Crown College Humanities Department for two years, chairing the department the second year, and moved into this new position as Vice President in the summer of 2007.
I graduated from Crown College in 1975 with a BA History (Bible minor), and then attended Minnesota State University (Mankato) and the University of Nebraska (Omaha) for a degree in MAT Social Studies.

Serving as our new Vice President of Enrollment, Brad Kissell brings to Crown a contribution of rich experience as the former Executive Dean for Enrollment Services and at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, GA. He received his B.S. in management from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma, a M.S. in Non-Profit Management from St. David’s in PA, and is soon to complete his PhD in Public Policy and Administration in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. While serving under Brewton-Parker, Brad’s history of contributions comprises not only effective management in maintaining and improving existent programs but also entirely new programs he pioneered as a visionary leader. Some of these innovations include the Freshmen Advising Program for at-risk students and a ministry degree program for bi-vocational pastors. In addition, Brad taught classes on commerce and management for both Brewton-Parker and Indiana Wesleyan University. Brad and his wife Juanita are passionate about mobilizing young adults in their walk with the Lord and holistic personal development. Juanita as well serves Crown by teaching psychology and providing counseling service to the students. Together Brad and Juanita have taught Sunday school classes especially designed for young professionals. Next to his love for Nonprofit Christian Business, Brad enjoys music, wood working, and gardening.

As Vice President for Academics, Scott serves as the chief academic officer, overseeing all of the academic programs at the College.
Dr. Moats received his B.A. at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He continued his education at the Alliance Theological Seminary in New York. He also has an M.A. from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Moats received a Master of Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota and furthered his education at the University of Minnesota to receive a P.h.D. in Educational Policy and Administration.
Prior to coming to Crown in the fall of 1991, Scott served as senior pastor to a church plant in Pembroke Pines, Florida. 1988 - 1991. He then joined the Crown College team in 1991 as the director of Career Services and Christian Service. Since arriving at Crown, Scott has served as a Professor and Department Chair before serving as the Academic Dean. While at Crown he has contributed to the CCCU Leadership Development, served on the Waconia School Board and continues to serve at local churches as an Interim Pastor and Pulpit Supply.

As Vice President for Advancement at Crown College, Jim is in charge of constructing strategy, systems and staffing to release the College to fulfill its mission by bringing focus to specific goals and facilitating the means to accomplish them.
Rev. Rightler received his B.S. in Missiology here at Crown College. He continued his education at Jaffray School of Missions at Nyack College where he completed one year of graduate studies.
Prior to coming to Crown in 1981, Jim served as a Pastor for eleven years. He then worked as the Vice President for Enrollment, and Director of Church and Alumni Relations until 1994 here at the college. After Crown he served at Grace Church in Eden Prairie where he spent ten years as a staff pastor. He rejoins Crown as the Vice President for Advancement.

As Vice President of Finance, David serves as the chief financial officer, overseeing the financial activities of the College.
David earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo. He majored in corporate financial management. He has completed course work towards an MBA from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
David has been active in his local church as a children’s leader, treasurer and elder. In 1995, David served one year in Volgograd, Russia as a lay missionary with the C&MA and CoMission Project. David said this about the experience, “This was the year that God strengthened my faith and stretched my vision beyond the borders of North America.” Most recently, David has been leading a Bible study for junior high school students.
David has twenty years of corporate finance experience. He worked for Aeroquip-Vickers, a division of Eaton Corporation in the area of business planning, budgeting and information technology. At Whirlpool Corporation, he was the Controller of the Canadian business unit and the Director of Finance for pricing and analysis at the global headquarters.
