In the classroom, students learn skills such as:
- Microsoft applications Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Business Math and English
- Office Procedures including filing, telephone skills, proofreading, and editing
- Personal and Professional Development
On-the-job Training through Internships
Students spend the last six weeks of the program in a supervised work setting to gain real workplace training and experience.
A class for career planning and job placement support covers topics including: resumes and cover letters, interview techniques, networking, and job search skills.
Internship sites include corporate offices, health care facilities, nonprofit agencies, and local government offices.
Students access onsite wardrobe closet for appropriate business attire.
