Position Overview
Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of custodial services, operations maintenance, and grounds personnel, including supervision of College Work Study student workers. Duties and responsibilities include working with the Director of Operations in formulating department policies, managing Facility Services staff, and planning the use of materials and human resources.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage boiler, HVAC, & other building systems (Chief Boiler licensure preferred);
- Manage Water System infrastructure (licensure preferred);
- Manage building systems controls; including Johnson Controls, Honeywell Controls, Fire & Safety controls;
- Manage CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to track work orders, assets, expenses;
- Manage Hillyard CCAP (computerized custodial management system);
- Manage College vehicle fleet;
- Work with the Director of Operations to develop strategic plan for capital deferred maintenance items;
- Work with the Director of Operations to select vendors and sub-contractors for projects;
- Develop and maintain strong safety and loss control program for the department;
- Develop bi-monthly performance reports on Facility KPI;
- Network with directors throughout the College to ensure high levels of service; and
- Maintain positive relationships with Minnesota agencies and governing bodies.
The Successful Candidate will have:
- Knowledge of building systems and controls;
- Knowledge of key building codes for multi family dwellings;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and with effectiveness;
- Demonstrated ability to manage large expense budgets;
- Strong interpersonal skills a must;
- Ability to understand multiple perspectives of organizations;
- Willingness to collaborate; and
- Agreement with the Crown College Mission, the Statement of Faith, and the Community Covenant.
