Tell someone immediately! Even if you think you are strong enough to handle the situation on your own, you need help, and both Crown and Carver County have resources to help you.
- If the counseling center is open, start there. Come by the counseling center and tell us that you need to speak with a counselor immediately.
- In the evenings or on weekends, call the front desk and ask for the Residence Life personnel who is on duty.
- Carver County has a Mental Health Crisis Program hotline you can call that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 952-442-7601 and ask for the Mental Health Crisis Team. Even if you call this number, please let someone at Crown know that you are struggling so we can help you in the healing process.
If you think someone is suicidal, do not leave him or her alone. Try to get the person to seek immediate help (see phone numbers above). Eliminate access to firearms or other potential tools for suicide, including unsupervised access to medications.
