Congo team

A team of nursing students will leave May 23, 2007 and travel to the democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) to Goma, the capital of North Kivu province on the shores of Lake Kivu and bordered by Rwanda. Goma is a mile-high city, near two active volcanoes.

Once there, the Congo team will work in Heal Africa’s hospital for women and children. They will care for patients and minister to them in whatever ways they can, returning sometime around June 23. The team has been meeting weekly to work on becoming a team that knows one another, cares for one another, and supports one another functionally and in prayer.
