Jean Borg

Miss Jean Borg lived a servant life and blessed the ministry of Crown College with her faithful giving and prayers. The Lord took Jean home to be with him November 28, 2006.

Jean’s legacy of giving to Crown began in 1963, when her brother Gary Borg and sister Joan Lord (Borg) graduated from St. Paul Bible College.  Jean continued to support this ministry of the College until the time of her death last year.  Her gifts helped bridge the gap between student tuition fees and the actual cost of college education, allowing students to graduate and enter ministry less saddled in student loan debt.

In addition to her love for Crown College, Jean was deeply involved in ministry in the C&MA.   Most recently she attended Florence Alliance Church, where she enjoyed helping others as a Sunday school secretary and treasurer.  She loved to visit patients and volunteer in nursing homes, make scrapbooks, wash dishes at church functions, and help others in their homes. Although Jean’s work on earth is done, her fingerprints are all over the lives she touched as she ministered so faithfully in the name of Jesus.

The College is grateful for Jean Borg’s servant spirit and godly stewardship. Jean’s estate gift of $56,000 will be endowed for Christian Leadership Scholarships.
