How many students are enrolled at Crown?

We have a total of 1300 students.

 

What is your application deadline?

We have rolling admissions, which means we will take applications any time, however, students must be accepted by the first day of class. PSEO students have different policies however, please view the PSEO section to read about PSEO deadlines.

 

What is the cost of tuition?

We have block tuition, so all classes between 12 and 18 credits cost $18,588.00. Nursing students will need to add $1,800.00 for their Junior and Senior year. Below 12 credits or above 18 credits, you pay per credit.

 

What is the cost of room and board?

Room and Board costs about $6,986.00. All freshmen must be on the full meal plan. Upperclassmen can choose from a few plans.

 

Do all students have to live on-campus?

Students are required to live on-campus until they are 22 years old or are living with their parents.

 

Is there financial aid available?

Yes, financial aid is available to all students. Check out the Financial Aid web page for more information.

 

How long does the acceptance decision take?

Once we have received all the pieces of your application file, it goes through a review process that can take up to 2 weeks.

 

What ACT/SAT score does Crown require?

We require an 18 composite on the ACT and 860 combined on the SAT for standard acceptance.

 

What is the minimum GPA required for acceptance?

A 2.0 GPA is required for standard acceptance.

 

What high school classes does Crown require for acceptance?

We do not require specific classes, however, we strongly recommend 4 years of English, 3 years of social studies and math, and 2 years of a foreign language.

 

What is the average class size at Crown?

The average class is around 20 and very few classes are over 50 students.

 

Is there tutoring services available on campus?

Yes, our Study Lab offer tutors in all areas of study, along with grammar checking and other special services.

 

May freshmen have cars on campus?

Yes, there is a semester parking fee.

 

How much should I plan on spending on books for a semester?

This will depend on your class load, but books average about $500.00 a semester.

 

What is the female to male ratio?

Last year, Crown had approximately 55% females and 45% males.

 

In what athletic associations, divisions, and conferences does Crown participate?
