Donald Cupp

Donald Cupp blessed the ministry of the College through his estate gift of $183,000.  Don farmed all his life.  He knew in his heart the "life out of death principle" that Jesus taught in John 12:23-26.  “Jesus replied, ‘The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.’”

Donald attended Tyler Alliance Church in Tyler, Minnesota since 1935. He rarely missed a worship service, and served as church treasurer for over 30 years. Pastor Wayde Kenneke said, “Donald’s hope of heaven was in Christ’s death and resurrection and his lifestyle reflected dying to self that he might produce a fruitful life here on earth.  Don was a man of integrity, quiet, humble, and highly respected by neighbors and church family.”

Former Crown president Dr. Gary Benedict appreciated Donald's support for the College over the years. Gary expressed, “Donald’s generous giving to the College and to the worldwide ministry demonstrated the testimony of his heart in wanting to invest in areas that reap eternal rewards." Praise God for this faithful servant.
