Roy & Margaret Ortman
Roy and Margaret Ortman are with the Lord. Roy passed away in 1998, and Margaret in December of 2005. Roy was raised near Richey, Montana, where he farmed throughout his life. He served in the Marine Corps in WWII and was stationed at Hickham Field in Hawaii during the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. After his discharge, he returned to Montana to resume farming. Margaret had been raised in North Dakota where she earned a teaching certificate. Her teaching career took her to Montana where she met Roy. In 1947, Roy married Margaret who was a school teacher. Roy and Margaret operated the farm until their retirement in 1978 when they moved to Port Orchard, Washington. They were faithful members of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and had a special interest in sending the Gospel to people who had never heard about the Lord. Their estate gift of nearly $400,000 will be used to further the Gospel through the equipping of Crown College students.
