Speaker: Dr. Ralph Wood, Baylor University (University Professor of Theology and Literature).  Dr. Wood's most recent books include The Gospel According to Tolkien and Flannery O'Connor and the Christ-Haunted South.

Location: Meet in the front lobby of the main building at Crown, will be carpooling together to the U of M
(Room 155, Nicholson Hall, University of Minnesota)

Time: 5:30 pm  We will meet ahead of time to carpool to the Twin Cities.  You may also meet us at the U of M if you so choose.  Official event begins at 7 pm.

Honors Christmas Banquet "A Christmas Carol"

We have a full night of laughter, education, and fun in store for you!  You will learn about the historical context of Dickens' A Christmas Carol, watch your fellow Honors students act out scenes from the story, see pieces of a movie rendition, and hear Professor Butcher speak about why the book has remained a quintessential part of the Christmas season for over 150 years. 

Come to eat your fill of dessert, thank your favorite professor, and enjoy the wonder of the Christmas season.

Please wear semi-formal attire (no jeans please!).
