Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach

 

Part-time, stipend position starting July 1, 2008


The Candidate:

  • Should possess a desire to coach and work with undergraduate student-athletes in a Christian environment and a commitment to integrating faith in learning and coaching thru sport.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, however, a Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Should possess rich experience as a head coach or substantial experience as an assistant coach at either the high school or college level.  Previous coaching and recruiting experience at the NCAA Division III level is preferred.
  • Must possess a level of understanding and adherence to NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Should have a commitment to follow God’s leading in personal, professional, and institutional life, and a record of high integrity and morality, both personally and professionally.
  • Must agree with the Crown College Mission, the Statement of Faith, and the Community Covenant.

The Head Men's and Women’s Cross Country Coach will: 

  • Provide leadership, direction, mentoring, and accountability in season and out of season to fully develop the student-athlete as a whole person.
  •  Actively recruit qualified Christian student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of Crown College.
  • Emphasize the academic progress and degree completion of the student-athlete.
  • Seek professional development opportunities to continue personal improvement as a head coach.
  • Direct one or more summer camp programs specific to their sport.
  • Build, develop, and maintain contacts with athletic alumni.
  • Manage all aspects of the men’s and women’s cross country budget including fund raising.
