Part-time, stipend position starting July 1, 2008
The Candidate:
- Should possess a desire to coach and work with undergraduate student-athletes in a Christian environment and a commitment to integrating faith in learning and coaching thru sport.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, however, a Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Should possess rich experience as a head coach or substantial experience as an assistant coach at either the high school or college level. Previous coaching and recruiting experience at the NCAA Division III level is preferred.
- Must possess a level of understanding and adherence to NCAA rules and regulations.
- Should have a commitment to follow God’s leading in personal, professional, and institutional life, and a record of high integrity and morality, both personally and professionally.
- Must agree with the Crown College Mission, the Statement of Faith, and the Community Covenant.
The Head Men's and Women’s Cross Country Coach will: - Provide leadership, direction, mentoring, and accountability in season and out of season to fully develop the student-athlete as a whole person.
- Actively recruit qualified Christian student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of Crown College.
- Emphasize the academic progress and degree completion of the student-athlete.
- Seek professional development opportunities to continue personal improvement as a head coach.
- Direct one or more summer camp programs specific to their sport.
- Build, develop, and maintain contacts with athletic alumni.
- Manage all aspects of the men’s and women’s cross country budget including fund raising.
