1. Is Crown College accredited?
Yes, the college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association, and is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
2. How much does it cost?
Tuition is $319 per semester credit. In addition to the tuition there is a resource fee of $10/credit and a registration fee of $50/term. Textbooks are purchased separately.
3. What credits can I transfer in?
College credits earned from a regionally accredited institution can be transferred if a "C" or higher was earned. Credits do not expire; although the graduate credits must have been taken in the last ten years to transfer. Our enrollment office would be glad to evaluate transcripts and create a tentative educational plan and timeframe for degree completion.
4. Does Crown accept Veteran's benefits?
Yes. Our Registrar works with our veterans to get the proper paperwork submitted to the VA Office.
5. Do I ever need to come to campus?
No, all of our degrees can be completely finished without coming to campus.
6. Does Crown offer financial aid?
Yes, federal and state (for residents of MN) financial aid is available for Crown Online students who are US citizens or legal aliens. An international scholarship equal to 25% of tuition is available to those living outside of the US and its territories.
7. How do I "attend" class?
Crown Online classes are delivered through the internet. Courses are offered in a modular format--a five (undergraduate) to seven (graduate) week window in which most course requirements must be completed. A specific day and time to be "in class" in not required, but classes will have weekly assignments and expectations.
8. What kind of technology do I need to take online classes?
Most of the classes require you to submit papers; most Crown professors use Microsoft Word. The Information Technology department can sell you the necessary softward for $25.00. The minimum requirements for compatability are as follows:
Processor: 500Mhz or higher
RAM (Memory): 256MB or higher
Display: 1024x786 or higher
Operating System: Windows XP (with Service pack 2) or higher
Hard Disk: at least 2GB of available space is required
9. When do I pay for class?
Each class must be paid for before beginning. Accepted payment can be credit card, cash, or financial aid.
10. What can I do with this degree?
An online degree is comparable to any degree earned in the classroom. Our associate's is a general education degree with a Bible component. It is also for those pursuing a bachelor's degree.
The bachelor's degree is designed for students wishing to pursue a vocational ministry.
The master's degree is designed for those who are already working in the field-- to sharpen and enhance skills already being used in the workplace. (See course description pages for further explanation.) It also prepares students to continue to a doctoral program.
11. What is the difference between the Organizational Leadership degree and an MBA degree?
An MBA degree is a quantitative-oriented program focusing more on the numbers and how they impact the business. Organizational Leadership is a social science approach to organizations focusing on the dynamics of relationships, such as organizational culture, power, politics, motivations, behaviors, etc. Organziational Leadership has its roots in organizational theory.
