International Student Grant Program

The purpose of the International Student Grant program is to assist students who are ineligible for federal, state, and private grants in the United States.

The criteria includes the following:

  1. All international students will receive a grant for 35% off tuition, up to $4,000.  The 35% calculation applies only to tuition; it does not apply to room and board, fees, books, or any miscellaneous expenses.
  2. Recipients of the International Student Grant must be enrolled as full-time day students (12 credits per semester minimum).
  3. In addition to the tuition discount in item #1 above, international students may apply for and receive any of the following institutional scholarships and grants (provided they meet the criteria):  Crown Scholarship, Music Scholarship and Church Matching Scholarship.
  4. All financial obligations to Crown College must be paid in U.S. dollars.
  5. The Financial Aid Office has an alternative loan that international students may apply for, but the student must have a U.S. citizen co-signer with a permanent U.S. address.
  6. U.S. citizens whose families reside abroad are not eligible for the International Student Grant.  These students are eligible to apply for federal, state (if appropriate), and institutional grants, scholarships, and loans.
  7. Students who have dual citizenship (i.e. Canadian and American) are considered U.S. citizens.  These students are not eligible for the International Student Grant.  They are eligible to apply for federal aid as well as other institutional grants and scholarships.
