Nursing Program Receives $40,000 GrantIn today’s healthcare industry, training locations for nursing students are becoming harder to obtain. For Crown College students, the training at their state-of-the-art nursing facility has been enhanced by a $40,000 grant which the Otto Bremer Foundation recently awarded the Nursing Department. First round of non-traditional BSN students to graduateIt was two years ago when the fledgling BSN Completion Program for non-traditional students first began. A small group of students gave their trust to the new faculty, and that small group will now earn the satisfaction of their efforts at their pinning ceremony on May 16, 2008. Professors Carlson and Harmon retireDr. Dan Carlson is completing his twenty-seventh year with the Teacher Education department, while Dr. Craig Harmon will finish up five years with Crown’s mathematics faculty this May.
